![]() ![]() The departments that you see on the School of Social Sciences are effectively administrative departments that professors belong to and are not related to your major. ![]() You are not assigned a specific department at UCI. The prerequisite requirements vary from major to major. If you want to change majors, you have to take the prerequisite courses for the major that you are interested in. You were either accepted into that major or accepted as "Undeclared". At application time, you had requested your major. You get a degree is a specific major here at UCI. I also recommend speaking with a counselor in your current major and as your prospective major as they can better answer any specific questions you might have. The Change of Major requirement states that you can choose any two courses from the ones listed in the site linked previously.
